Rosa palustrisCommon Name: Swamp Rose | Soil: Wet-Mesic Wet | |
Height: 3 ft - 6ft | ||
Blooming: Jun Jul Aug |
This is a wetland rose that produces the typical pink flowers of this genus. When a stem becomes too tall, it typically arches to the ground and forms a clone. As with most roses, it can be somewhat aggressive without competition. The flowers are primarily pollinated by bees. The hips (fruit) are eaten by some birds and mammals.
