A wonderful spring ephemeral of rich woodlands and floodplains. Clusters of blue bell-shaped flowers occur in the spring. Plant goes dormant by early summer. Spreads well by seeding if conditions are appropriate. Listed as Endangered in Michigan, and is much more common south of our state.
