Very adaptable. Typically found in dry, open habitats in sandy soils, but will also do well in part-sun (Savanna) conditions and can handle seasonally moist soils. The leaves are in a small bunch and are typically under 1 ft, while the flowering stems will reach 2 to 3 ft.
