Typically occurs in moist forests and is often found in floodplains and near water (both permanent and vernal). The flowers are unmistakable and very unique. Its very close relative, Arisaema triphyllum (Jack-in-the-Pulpit) is often found growing in the same habitats, but Green Dragon is much less common and only occurs in the lower half of the Lower Peninsula.
