Lilium philadelphicumCommon Names: Wood Lily, Prairie Lily | Soil: Dry-Mesic Mesic Wet-Mesic | |
Height: 1 ft - 2 ft | ||
Blooming: Jun Jul |
This species is becoming extremely rare in the lower portion of the southern peninsula, as a direct result of habitat destruction. It can grow in a range from dry to wet, preferring dry-mesic to mesic soils, but the key appears to be open, stable habitats. The flowers are absolutely gorgeous.
