Yellow blooms occur during late summer on this distinctively stemmed plant. It prefers moist to wet soils and full to partial sun. Southern Michigan is the northern edge of this species naturally occurring range. Typical pollinators are Bumblebees and other long-tongued bees. It is an aggressive species.
