Very drought tolerant. Large gray, hairy basal leaves are attractive during the summer. Does not spread by rhizomes. The flowers attract a very wide range of insects including bees, flies, wasps, beetles, moths, and butterflies. A favorite of Monarchs and other large butterflies.
