Can spread to form loose colonies, but is not aggressive. Flowers are visited by many small bees, small butterflies, flies, and beetles. Contains alkaloids that deter consumption by mammals. For wetter spots, Packera aurea-Golden Ragwort or Packera paupercula-Balsam Ragwort can be used.
